• 76" x 84" (2--38" x 84") Dual King Electropedic® Adjustable Beds  

Description:

The Dual King is usually recommended for two people, because the reason people LOVE Electropedic® Beds, is that each one can adjust to every position at any time you wish.  If you have a One Piece Beds, two people cannot individually adjust.  The Dual King 76" x 80" is the standard size King-size Beds as the Eastern King.  (It is 6" wider, and 4" less long than a one-piece CA King).  Most people purchase the standard 76" x 80".  When you buy the Dual King, you are actually buying two Twin Extra Longs side by side.  Whether you buy a Twin Regular or Extra Long or (CA) King Length - the bending in the middle is the same (the factory just adds the extra lengths at the very top and bottom).  We recommend the 76" x 84" if the husband is over 6'1" tall.  If you are between sizes, again, we ask you if you have longer legs than normal, or if you tuck in your sheets by your feet - if you answer yes to either questions, we usually recommend the longer length.  Finding bottom fitted sheets for each side, 38" x 84" are available through Electropedic®. Electropedic® also, but does not usually recommend, the 72" x 84" California Dual King  2--36" x 84".  It is not usually recommended for purchase, unless you are trying to save a special headboard/footboard combination  (bottom fitted sheets for the two 36" x 84" are not to be found, unless special ordered - or you can get buy with 38" x 84" bottom sheets...)
 

Adjustable Bed vs. Flat Beds

When you have a flat bed - NOT an Adjustable Bed -

no matter how you feel, or what hurts, or what you need -  You get one position:  flat.  Your Body is not built flat, it curves out by the hips, in by the lower back, and out by the shoulders. Consequently, about half your body weight falls on your hip bones:  you have to toss and turn 50X a night - that's one time about every 15 minutes

A "sleep system" that does not relieve the weight and pressure on your body leads to a lot of soreness - and parts of your body numb or asleep - when you wake up.  When you sleep flat, no matter how many times you toss and turn, you cannot support your lower back properly, and you can only relieve pressure from your body for 15 minute periods, before you have to toss again.  

When can elevate your back on an Adjustable Bed,

you can enjoy  reading and watching TV in Bed; you can help take off some of the pressure on your neck, shoulders and upper back; you can Breath easier, you can allow gravity to work with your arteries/Heart Muscle, and for those with Acid Reflux or a Hiatal Hernia, you can allow gravity to keep the stomach acid in your stomach.

When you can elevate both your back and your legs on an Adjustable Bed,

your whole body weight gets evenly supported.  You will feel like you are floating on a cloud of air - your whole body can just totally let go.  Every inch higher and lower is a different weight and pressure on your muscles, bones and nerves.  You simply stop where you are most comfortable.

When you can elevate your legs on an Adjustable Bed,

you can take the pressure off your lower back and circulatory system.  If you ever read a Bad-Back Book, all of them show you how to put a pillow underneath your legs, or to elevate your legs upon a chair or to bend your knees into your chest.  When you elevate your legs on an Electropedic Bed, you can feel your lower back flatten against your mattress.  Sleeping and resting like this helps reverse the pressure on your lower back.

Instead of just the weight mostly falling on the hips when you sleep on a flat bed, when you elevate your legs, you feel ALL your lower back, hips and thighs supporting the middle weight of your body (and not just your hips)
